What We're About

Founded in late 2017 by frontman Will and bassist Cole after they had departed from their previous band. Will was playing drums at the time and transitioned to writing lyrics and composing the songs that Near Misses would come to be known for. They started off as two guys jamming out with a unique jazz/alternative music that had inspirations acquired from electronic backgrounds; the early dedication was to the feeling of the music they played, heavily relying on deep tones, heavy electronic influences, and grooving rhythms.  In early 2018, after months of searching, they were joined by the phenomenal drummer Davin. His techniques brought the duo up to the next level, bringing them to be the jazzy space trio as they're now known.  They perform regularly in Iowa and are always looking for opportunities to play shows.
